Synthetic Valley, 2024-

The antithesis of uncanny valley, where something that is false or constructed is biologically experienced as real and natural. This phenomenon is present through experiences such as elaborate con jobs, intimacy through artificial intelligence or VR, and radicalization on social media. Synthetic Valley contemplates the art of the con from the point of view of the mark, creating pieces that are frozen, swallowed, or warped. The subject is unconsciously softened and comforted during its own domination, left as a crumpled, fragile relic of survival or as a psychedelic haunting, forever grasping at reality.
